Habit Garden: Happy Family

Privacy Policy

Last updated: draft — date set at publication

Draft. This policy is a pre-release draft pending legal review. It is not yet in force. Questions: hi@inspireui.com.

The short version. Habit Garden keeps your family's garden private — everything it remembers lives on your devices. Kids have no accounts — a grown-up sets everything up, with a nickname and an age band, never a real name or birthday. We never show ads, never sell data, never track you, and never use analytics. A grown-up can delete the whole family's data from inside the app.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The app is published by INSPIREUI COMPANY LIMITED ("we"). Contact: hi@inspireui.com.

2. What the app stores

Everything the garden remembers is stored on your device. Nothing on this list leaves the device in version 1.0.

DataDetail
Family profileFamily name, week start, timezone.
MembersNickname, grown-up/kid role, age band (e.g. "6–9" — never a birthday), companion, accent colour.
Habits & careHabit names and rules, schedules, targets, every care log (who watered, when, how much), timer and focus sessions.
Garden & rewardsStage progress, plant rewards, rest days, keepsakes, and the cheers, nudges and requests family members send each other.
SettingsReminder choices and times, sounds, Reduce Motion, garden look.
WeatherOnly if a grown-up types a city name: that city and its coordinates, so the sky widget can show weather.

3. Purchases — Family Pass

Family Pass is an optional subscription sold through the App Store: the annual plan ($39.99/year) starts with a 7-day free trial, or the monthly plan ($4.99/month) without a trial — prices shown in your local currency in the app before you pay. Payment goes through Apple; we never see your card or Apple ID. RevenueCat processes the App Store receipt under an anonymous app-user ID so the app knows whether the family's pass is active — RevenueCat is our only purchase processor and does not do analytics or advertising for us. We only ever store "free" or "family pass" as the plan state.

4. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on the device by iOS and never leave the device. There is no push service and no push token — just the iOS notification switch.

5. Weather — Apple WeatherKit

The app never uses GPS and never asks for location permission. If a grown-up wants weather in the sky, they type a city name; that name is sent to Apple to look up coordinates and weather. Apple's handling is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. What we do not collect

Real names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, photos, contacts, device location, advertising identifiers, or browsing data. No ads. No analytics SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites.

7. Who processes your data

ProcessorRole
RevenueCatSubscription status for Family Pass (receipt validation under an anonymous ID) — our only purchase processor.
Apple App Store / StoreKitPayment processing.
Apple WeatherKitWeather lookup for a city name typed by a grown-up.

Family data itself lives only on the family's devices — no account, no cloud copy.

8. Children's data — COPPA & Kids

Habit Garden is listed in the App Store's Kids category. Kids have no accounts, and nothing in the app asks a child for a name, email, password, phone number, or photo. A grown-up creates each member with a nickname and an age band (a range like "6–9" — never a birthdate), and the grown-up check (a multiplication question) keeps purchases, external links and destructive actions away from kids. The app has no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind — so nothing about a child is ever shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Because nothing about a child leaves the device in version 1.0 — no server copy, no third-party analytics, no advertising — no child's data is collected, disclosed or sold by us. The only outside services that ever see anything are Apple (payment, and weather lookup for a city name a grown-up types) and RevenueCat (receipt validation under an anonymous ID) — none of which identifies a child. Parents can review all family data in the app and erase everything at any time, or by emailing hi@inspireui.com.

9. How long we keep it & how to delete it

Data is kept while the family exists, on-device only. In the app, behind the grown-up check:

  • Remove a member or habit — removed on the spot.
  • Start over on this iPhone — wipes this device's local copy.
  • Delete the family garden — two confirmations, then all family data is erased. Since nothing is stored server-side, this erases the only copies. This cannot be undone.

Deleting the app also removes the data — everything was on the device anyway. If the device is lost, erase it with Find My; we hold no server copy to delete on your behalf. Questions: hi@inspireui.com.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data — and parents always have the right to review or delete their child's information. Because the app holds no account or identity, the in-app deletion tools above are the primary way to exercise them — for anything else, contact hi@inspireui.com.

11. Security

No accounts and no passwords to leak; family data stays on-device; purchases and destructive actions sit behind the grown-up check; the only network calls are Apple's (payment, weather) and RevenueCat's receipt check over TLS.

12. Changes

We'll update this page for any change and note the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and this policy will be updated to describe them.
